Water Quality Monitoring

The Sabine River Authority water quality monitoring program began in 1968 with the opening of SRA's first water quality laboratory. SRA's water quality monitoring program expanded in 1972 in response to the passage of the Federal Clean Water Act to include testing for municipalities and industry in 1972 in response to the passage of the Federal Clean Water Act.

Under the Environmental Services Division, SRA monitors 37 sites monthly and provides water monitoring data to the Texas Clean Rivers Program.
