Indian Mounds Recreation Area

Indian Mounds Recreation Area is located in the Pineywoods of East Texas on Toledo Bend Reservoir. This developed site offers access to the nearby Indian Mounds Wilderness Area and an alternative to wilderness camping.  Facilities include 37 travel trailer or tent sites, picnic tables, grills, and portable toilet facilities.  The area offers camping, fishing, and boating (there are two boat ramps) all year. This recreation area is owned by the USFS Sabine National Forest and operated by the Sabine River Authority of Texas.

Follow Highway 83 east from Hemphill for 8 miles; turn right (south) on FM 3382 for 3.5 miles; turn left onto Forest Service Road 130 to entrance.
