(Orange, TX) The Sabine River Authority of Texas (SRA-TX) along with the Cities of Orange, Bridge City
and Pinehurst, Orange County WCID No. 2 and Orangefield Water Supply
Corporation are holding a public meeting to discuss the opportunities for a new
regional wastewater facility planning study.
This 50% complete meeting,
scheduled from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
on Thursday, May 29th, will be held at the West Orange
City Hall located at 2700 Western Avenue
in West Orange. The participating agencies, cities and

The study area
includes the boundaries of the participating cities and water/wastewater
entities which are generally located in the eastern portion of Orange County
as well as unserved areas adjacent to the entities. The purpose of this 50% meeting will be to

population growth projections and other background information that has been
collected and define the objectives for implementation of the regional
wastewater plan.

“SRA-TX and the other
participants encourage everyone interested in this study to come and
participate in this meeting,” stated Bill Hughes, Director of Engineering
Services for SRA-TX. “We believe that
the open exchange of ideas and the active involvement of the public with
water/wastewater service providers will be crucial to achieving a meaningful
outcome,” added Hughes.
